Blackout Sunday Football
If fans want to watch the local team play, they need to attend the games because it sure isn't going to be on ESPN or Fox 13 on Sunday's anymore. At least that is the theory of NFL for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers'. Since the start of the season, there has been 10 home games that have not been televised. In the first two weeks of the NFL season, the Bucs were the only team in the league to have their game blacked out. Some people are finding ways around this blackout, and trying their best to get the Bucs back on to Sunday afternoon T.V. Teams like the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars have bought up tickets and given them to their season ticket holders in order to get attendance up. In '09, Ramon James Stadium was sold out every Sunday, now it's just about impossible to achieve that.
