Water for Elephants Review

Water-for-Elephants-movie-poster.jpg All books that are turned into movies usually have high-success rates; Water for Elephants can be added to the list of successful books turned into successful movies. With movie trailers and announcements of the actors well before the release date of early summer; this movie was bound to be a success. The movie trailers for Water for Elephants gives it the "look" or "stereotype" of being a tear-up, heart-wrenching, romance movie. It's all of that, and more. There's a couple of twists and scenes that include action, violence, and suspense. You don't normally expect that many types of genres in one movie. Water for Elephants is set in an old-fashioned circus arena, and follows the life of a young veterinarian who trains and nurses the animals under the abusive and overly-intense owners watchful eye. While on the circus circuit, the vet meets and falls in-love with the circus' main horse attraction star, who also happens to be the owners wife. This creates the suspense and intensity of the movie. This movie was extremely easy to get into. Especially with the elaborate crops, sets, and animals that are used to make the atmosphere of a successful circus come to life. The costumes are elegant and really give the movie an old-fashioned feel, and well as the make-up and over all look of the actors. What makes this movie great is the perfect match-up of two great actors. Twilight's; Robert Pattinson and Legally Blonde's; Reese Witherspoon, this movie was great, and leaves you with a sense of adventure and the encouragement of wanting success in life.
